Civil Rights
Unfortunately, sometimes people suffer harm at the hands of public officials. Though we wish it weren't true, at the Frank Law Office we know that there are police officers who will beat a person to the ground and then claim he was "resisting arrest," or who will fabricate evidence to get an arrest warrant. There are jail employees who will delegate discipline to the inmates or give benefits to favored prisoners for abusing disfavored ones. There are public officials who will hide evidence and engage in misconduct, so blindly convinced they are right that they cannot see the terrible wrongs they are committing.
At the Frank Law Office, we are dedicated to getting justice for victims of government misconduct. Using the Civil Rights Act and Colorado's Enhance Law Enforcement Integrity Act (SB 20-217), we force police departments to change their practices, institute new trainings, and pay for the terrible injuries and damages they have caused. We demand proper medical treatment for people who are incarcerated and get compensation for people who have tried to get needed treatment but been denied. Righting wrongs committed by government employees is the heart of what we do.
